I am SO blessed to have hosted my very first workshop with an incredible group of talented photographer’s this past Saturday at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, FL. It was such a valuable experience for me…something that I will hold close to my heart forever. The attendee’s were an amazing blend of talent, personality and knowledge and we spent the day shooting, learning, laughing and making new friendships and lasting connections. I am especially grateful to the talented Annelis for her gorgeous work on hair and make-up for the evening bridal session. A giant THANK YOU to Christine at Fantasy of Flight for helping me to organize the entire event and for the countless phone calls spent making every last detail perfect. A massive thank you to my husband for being so supportive through all of this. For encouraging me to move forward with the workshop…for spending hours listening to me prattle on about ideas and random thoughts and for pushing me to be better. Thank you so, so, so, sooooo much to Erin and Jane over at Peppermint Pretty Designs for allowing me to photograph their gorgeous vintage inspired dresses! They were so amazing! You are so talented! Lastly and most certainly not least, an immense thank you to Philip at Music Ranch for allowing us to photograph the children’s session on his awesome property. Philip just might be the nicest guy on the face of the earth!

It was a labor of love that finally came to fruition on Saturday and I truly enjoyed every minute!

Here are a few images from the day!

This weekend I had the honor of flying to Miami to photograph the wedding of Maria and Raphael. It was a gorgeous event, filled with fabulous details and a venue that is to die for. The Ritz Carlton South Beach is an incredible setting for a wedding and I was so excited when I stepped into the lobby. I will be posting another round of images from this wedding, but thought I would start with these! Enjoy!

Much love~

Courtney

Okay! SO…I want to start out this post by saying how INCREDIBLY beautiful this wedding was.  At every turn there was some new detail to photograph…it was insane. I have SO many images to rummage through, so I’ll start with just a few to give you an idea of just how colorful and fun this wedding was. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!!! A giant thanks to Shem for coming along and second shooting for me! Jonny and I loved our adventure with you…there were definitely some hilarious memories made. I can’t wait to do it again.  This wedding was held on Jekyll Island at the insanely beautiful venue: the Beachview Club. I promise to post more of this wedding, but I at least wanted to get it rolling with some of my images from the day :) If you’re a bride and you’re looking for a great place to get married…this place has SO much charm!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Let’s get this party started:

Heather: Bride-to-Be

February 1, 2009

As promised, more images from yesterday’s bridal shoot in St. Pete with one of my gorgeous and fabulous brides, Heather. I had such a great time getting to meet with her family as they helped us lug around the “goods” that go along with a bridal session. It was chilly and windy, but Heather hung in there…veil whipping in the wind and all :) It was a gorgeous day on St. Pete beach! Heather is going to make an absolutely stunning bride next month during her nuptials. It was such an honor to photograph you…I can’t wait for the end of February!

I had so many favorites, that I had a hard time choosing…but here are some of the one’s that stood out to me right away :)

ONCE AGAIN: IF YOUR NAME IS JOE AND YOU ARE ENGAGED TO THE LOVELY BRIDE-TO-BE BELOW…DO NOT SCROLL DOWN!

Night guys!! More to come tomorrow :)

Hello everyone :-) I am happy to announce that I arrived home safe and sound from my travels to Wichita, Kansas. The trip was not without excitement, however. While there, my brother’s house had a tornado whip through his town forcing myself and his entire family of 6 into the basement. I was a little freaked. Not gonna lie. I’ll take a hurricane anyday over a tornado, at least we have enough warning to get the heck outta dodge. The hail was crazy. I have a picture on my iphone that I’ll have to post later. It was huge and much bigger than anything I’ve seen in Florida. Nuts! I love my brother and his family, but Wichita and Kansas can keep the tornado’s. No thanks!

That being said…I had an amazing time at Brent and Marisa’s wedding! It was such a lovely day and they both looked gorgeous! I mean star quality…they were fab! When I first saw Marisa in her dress, I had to gasp…she was simply breathtaking! To see the two of them together and so in love was truly an honor and I am so thrilled to have been asked to document this very special occasion.

Brent is from Australia and met Marisa while visiting Wichita. Marisa is gathering her things and relocating to live with Brent in Australia…what an awesome adventure these two will share. That is pure love! I’m so excited to hear how Marisa adjusts to living on another continent and it kinda gives me a reason to travel to Australia :-) haha

Thank you both for sharing your gorgeous day with me! It was absolutely sensational! Here are just a few from their big day:
