I am SO blessed to have hosted my very first workshop with an incredible group of talented photographer’s this past Saturday at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, FL. It was such a valuable experience for me…something that I will hold close to my heart forever. The attendee’s were an amazing blend of talent, personality and knowledge and we spent the day shooting, learning, laughing and making new friendships and lasting connections. I am especially grateful to the talented Annelis for her gorgeous work on hair and make-up for the evening bridal session. A giant THANK YOU to Christine at Fantasy of Flight for helping me to organize the entire event and for the countless phone calls spent making every last detail perfect. A massive thank you to my husband for being so supportive through all of this. For encouraging me to move forward with the workshop…for spending hours listening to me prattle on about ideas and random thoughts and for pushing me to be better. Thank you so, so, so, sooooo much to Erin and Jane over at Peppermint Pretty Designs for allowing me to photograph their gorgeous vintage inspired dresses! They were so amazing! You are so talented! Lastly and most certainly not least, an immense thank you to Philip at Music Ranch for allowing us to photograph the children’s session on his awesome property. Philip just might be the nicest guy on the face of the earth!

It was a labor of love that finally came to fruition on Saturday and I truly enjoyed every minute!

Here are a few images from the day!

Tonight I had the UH-MAZING opportunity to photograph the fall/winter line for Marili Jean accessories! If you haven’t seen Laurie’s hats (plus more!), you must MUST run over to her site and check all of it…everything…out! On top of being ridiculously talented, she is just the sweetest person in the world. I am so blessed to have crossed path’s with Laurie. When she asked if I would photograph her hats, I absolutely had to agree. This photo shoot tops my list as one of my favorite’s, for sure. The children were angels. REALLY! I was so impressed with how attentive and how incredibly well-behaved they were. Bravo to ALL of the mom’s and dad’s that came out and made this possible. Your children are just darling. DARLING! I loved each and every one of them :) Thank you for sharing them with me! I wanted to post a sneak peek just for starters. I absolutely ADORE this session. Please expect more. and more. and even more. I can’t decide which one’s I love most. So this could make for alot of photo’s! Stay tuned and much love!!!!

Hello friends! Yesterday, I had the chance to photograph the lovely ladies of Ciao Bella Day Spa in Littleton. Geri, the owner, is hands down one of the sweetest and most genuine business owner’s I’ve had the opportunity to meet. From the moment you meet her, you just feel you’ve known her your whole life. Her spa is truly one of a kind. Geri and her husband have put an immense amount of hard work and dedication into Ciao Bella and it is apparent from the moment you set foot in the store. It is a peaceful getaway located right downtown on Main Street in Littleton. If you are in need of some serenity in your life, Ciao Bella is definitely the place to be. They offer a variety of services including massage (prenatal too!), pedicures/manicures, facials and more! You will feel right at home with Geri and her wonderful staff. Be sure to check them out and treat yourself to something special today! If your there, you’ll notice I have several pieces of my work hanging on their walls. Geri is so kind!

Here are a few images that I captured during our shoot together. Doesn’t it just MAKE you want to make time for yourself?

Ahh spring…how I love how you make Florida NOT HOT. I am soaking up every ounce of coolness I can before the blazing heat of summer takes over our very southern state. I can’t help but want to wake up early and open all of the doors and windows. It’s put me in such a happy mood! It is because of this, that today was spent heavily revamping my blog site, in lieu of the spring season that has already hit our sunny corner of the world. So, if you’re popping in and happened to notice that things look a wee bit different, then you’re right :) I wanted something that felt clean and simple (and yes, “spring-y”) and I just adore what my hubby and I collectively came up with. All day, we planted ourselves firmly on the couch (doors and windows open and breezy) and worked side by side on our laptops to create a new look that betters defines what, I feel, is the true mood of my photography. I can already begin to visualize my brand working for me and that is just so exciting. I know that often many people think photographers primarily focus on their art, but in fact there is an entirely separate side of this business that requires hours of attention spent on effectively marketing yourself. I enjoy this side of photography. It is yet another outlet for creativity that I warmly welcome. It was fun working so closely with Jonny on something that is so meaninful to me. The next three months are filled to the brim with shooting and I really wanted to be able to post my sessions on the new blog, so we went ahead and knocked it out before the ball gets rolling. I’m really, really happy with it and I’m super proud of Jonny for doing all of the coding on the template for me. Without him, you’d be seeing horrific sizing, colors and text…in other words, pure funkiness. haha He really pulled it all together with his technical genius…I worked on the headers and the color scheme and he plugged it all in and made it make sense. I apologize if anyone visited my blog today and saw 15 different colors and looks…haha…it was a work in progress coupled with much experimentation, that I now feel truly at home with. I have lots of fun shoots coming up that I can’t wait to share with all of you. I hope everyone enjoys the new look. I’m so lucky to have such a great group of blog readers and dear friends following my work and life!! Have a wonderful evening, everyone!!
